Re: Cork Senior Hurling 2020

It's a jokeashop at this stage. Interview in the echo after the game Kingston says we ran out of legs in last ten mins. Sher, maybe through on a sub or two there Tom , after them making the trip up. Nah, keep flogging Hoggie, Harnedy, Lehane, Walsh and Cooper during the league. Kieran, even??? :) B...

Re: Cork Senior Hurling 2020

Ah but this is Cork hurling nowadays....we couldn't be arsed trying to win the league, its a winter competition...our stylish hurlers are only programmed to play on the hard grounds of summer....the league is all about finding out about new players etc etc etc. So have Downey, Dalton, Conor Cahalane...

Re: Cork Senior Hurling 2020

A game we could have won....not because we were good or anything but we did show a bit of fight and Galway's wide tally, especially from frees, was keeping us in the game. What O'Flynn did was stupid and unforgivable....at a time when we looked like we might be getting a bit of momentum to drive on ...

Re: Cork Senior Hurling 2020

Just don't understand all the experimenting with players in different positions. I know people will say that's what the league is for, and I'd get it if we were trying out new players...but not when you don't have a settled team in the first place and not when its just moving around long-establishe...

Re: Cork Senior Hurling 2020

It was just like watching most Cork games over the past decade. We've enough hurling to hang in games but not enough hurling to win the tight ones. First half I thought was dire...think we scored 2 pts from play. Loose on and off the ball. No aggression, no anger,no urgency in our play...all too eas...

Re: Cork Senior Hurling 2020

In all the recent hoo haa about introducing the black card to hurling, and knowledgeable hurling people coming out saying t'would destroy the game....well would those same knowledgeable hurling people please stand up and call out the referees who are destroying the game before our very eyes. Cleere ...

If twas only this simple, matty.

What we saw today is a microcosm of what we've seen from Cork hurling for almost 15 years now.

I won't insult anyone's intelligence by throwing out that old Einstein quote...
