Re: Club Rankings

I think we need to strive towards three basic Championships... Senior (the new version kicking off in 2020) Intermediate (the so called Senior B clubs combined with the Premier Intermediate clubs) Junior (the current Junior A clubs combined with the Ordinary Intermediate clubs) I was at both the KIl...

Re: Other GAA

My guess is that it's a Munster Club fixture so it's nothing to do with the Cork website. This is it I'd say also. To be fair, Russell Rovers are playing in the Munster Junior Hurling competition and this isn't mentioned on the home page either, nor is Éire Óg v Templenoe or Nemo v Stacks. The more...

Re: Senior Football Club Championship 2019

I'm thinking the same, at least TG4 will have highlights of the Nemo match at the very least. Yes, Éire Óg were dead right to insist on every advantage possible. I'm fine with the different venues, just a shame they're on at the same time. O'Hanlon v Barry is an interesting pairing in Mallow too.

Re: Senior Football Club Championship 2019

They've decided to fix it for the same time as the Éire Óg v Templenoe match. I'm sure I wasn't the only person considering going to both.

Saturday @ 1:30
Kilshannig v Na Gaeil (Mallow)

Sunday @ 1:30
Éire Óg v Templenoe (Ovens)
Nemo Rangers v Austin Stacks (Pairc Ui Rinn)

Re: Other GAA

Silver lining with a Junior B title last night at least, they've some amount of teams on the go. That should be a good final alright, Ardfield have taken some big scalps.

Re: Premier Intermediate Football Championship

How are they playing Stacks? They'll only play Stacks if Crokes fail to win the Kerry County Championship. Outside of Crokes, there are only two divisional teams left in the competition. Stacks beat Crokes is the 'Club Championship' final earlier in the year so will represent Kerry if a divisional ...

Re: Premier Intermediate Football Championship

Stacks are no great shakes either though to be honest, miles off Crokes level anyway. Plus they've been out of action for a number of weeks at this stage so I'm not sure how prepared they would be, should it come to pass. I'd have Nemo as 'warmish' favourites there anyway I think.

Re: Premier Intermediate Football Championship

Might well be Stacks I'm hearing? Crokes have been living dangerously alright, very lucky against South Kerry on Sunday by all accounts. Even if they do come through the replay there, East Kerry (inspired by the two Clifford's) should provide tough opposition in the final. From a Nemo point of view...

Re: Premier Intermediate Football Championship

Hopefully Ranty, but think Tipp is right with regards the two structures not exactly providing like-for-like match ups. Is there anything to be said for calling our incoming second senior grade our Premier Intermediate championship and putting the winner of that out for battle instead? Éire Óg do ha...

Re: Premier Intermediate Football Championship

How is Ciaran Sheahan shaping up ! He came on with fifteen to go and looked good. Set up Goulding for the lead score at a crucial time with a lovely long pass and made another one after that. It was live on The Examiner Facebook page so still available to view. Éire Óg will have a mammoth task in t...
