Re: Cork Footballers 2019

They don't loose the ball so easily, it's true, but this seems to be because they get rid of it before contact (a bit like the hurlers way of doing things) to keep possession. I like the way they are patient and move around until they open a space for some player to run into with the ball.

Re: "Yerra" watch

The overcarrying business is happening anyway because referees choose not to penalise the brief fouls of a jersey tug or a restraining hand. Give a free for those and then it will be easy to give a free for overcarrying.

Re: Cork Footballers 2019

Very encouraging and pleasing again, but unwise to make any assumptions until after the game against Roscommon. Win that one and we can start to dream for next year. Expectations continue to rise steeply. Remember how pleased we were simply to make the Super 8s?

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

Some people are also calling for Donal Og on PROC and some are against it. His would be a divisive appointment more than any other manager. He would probably like to say that the last players’ strike benefited Cork hurling when, in truth, it did damage which lasts to this day. All it achieved was th...

Re: Cork u20 football 2019

Clifford would have only been one out of 30 players on the pitch tonight - I wouldn't attribute Kerry under-age success in recent years to him alone and by the same token we will see what he will do among the big boys in the coming years. A few of the Cork players will face the same challenge in th...

Re: The Re-Development of Pairc Ui Chaoimh

It's Frank you should be addressing. It was his baby. He even hired a substitute to do his main job so that he could concentrate on the stadium. Frank is cunning. He always remains silent and lets his spokesmen take the flack. “Gerald is gone Sean Og, but Frank is still there.” “We can talk to Frank...

Re: Other GAA

Of course not. Kilkenny will beat any team which doesn't put in 100% effort. Going back long, long before Brian Cody, they were always like that.

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

It tells us nothing we don't know. He's a little unfair to the county board. They have to wait until a manager's time runs out to appoint a new one. Hopefully we'll see something this autumn.
