Re: Cork Footballers 2019

Patience is one thing. Telling us that relegation to Division 3 might not be the lowest ebb is entirely another. “I’m sure Derry thought when they went down to Division 3 it was as low as it could get, so I can’t call that. It will be difficult to get out of it, but bottoming out? I don’t know. ” I...

Re: Cork Footballers 2019

Disappointing. A lot of almost and nearly. In the end you can't depend on other teams to help you out. You must do it yourself.

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

Cork are like Jekyll and Hyde. In contrast to the Tipp match, they put pressure on Kilkenny throughout yesterday's match, particularly the forwards, and Kilkenny made a lot of mistakes under this pressure. It also was nice to see the forwards go for goal whenever they sniffed an opportunity. They pl...

Re: Cork Footballers 2019

I've noticed that the posting up of teams ( hurling as well as football) has changed under the new PRO, who I would suppose is responsible for letting us know what's going on. No days or times are given. They just appear magically - football usually on Thursday night and Hurling on Friday night. 9.3...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

According to a poster on PROC the “next game in competition” cannot refer to a qualification or relegation match of the current competition.. Therefore, as I see it, Harnedy will be suspended for the first game in next year’s league.

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

Cork were very poor. Tipperary were very sharp. The result could be foreseen after just 20 minutes of the first half. No pressure put on Tipperary players picking up the ball. Cork player players then standing off them giving them plenty of time to decide what to do. What exactly is Duggie Howlett s...
