Re: Other GAA

I was reading an article in De Paper today about history student Dublized, Stan Zamyatin’s explanation of GAA county colours, how they came to be and what they signify. Of Cork he says, “Cork used to play in Blue and Yellow which was quite similar to what Tipperary wear now (Wrong! We all saw what t...

Re: Cork Ladies Football

All-Ireland ladies football final 2018 Dublin 3-11; Cork 1-12 Conceding one goal is manageable. Conceding two goals makes the job difficult. Conceding three goals makes it almost impossible. If ever goals won a game, it was this one. Every time Cork drew near, Dublin were able to score a goal to put...

Re: Senior Hurling Championship 2018

I was expecting the Barrs to win the first game so I was as surprised as they were with the intensity which Blackrock brought to it. They had obviously learned from Douglas' defeat and gave the Barrs no time to settle but tore into them right from the beginning. They dominated almost from start to f...

Re: Other GAA

I agree with you about the almost undue haste with which the championship and league were played off. It was as if they couldn't wait to get rid of them. Even if your county won their match, you had no time to savour that success because another match was coming down the just week-long track, like a...

Re: Frank

What about Diarmuid O'Donovan who's been, more or less, doing Frank's job while Frank was concentrating on the stadium?

Anyway there is no need for a Frank clone. They just need someone to become secretary of the Cork County Board. How hard is that? Plenty of qualified people I would imagine.
