Re: Other GAA

fair play to Limerick, no one can or should begrudge them. En route to winning they have beaten every All-Ireland champion since 2014 as well as the reigning Munster Champions. Hard for ourselves and Clare to watch this weekend and a lot of what ifs. Unlike the football which has one contender there...

Re: Cork U21 Hurling 2018

As much as I am not a fan of the Gaelic Grounds, it's not an unexpected venue for this final but what on earth is the story with the throw in time, 5:30pm on a Sunday, do they want to put people off going?? 5:30pm is generally grand on a Saturday but I think it's pulling the p*ss on Sunday. A game I...

Re: Cork Footballers 2018

I was at Croke Park on Saturday and was in the Upper Cusack, I don't think I have ever been at semi-final with such a poor crowd that didn't involve the Cork footballers. Have no doubt, the fair weather Dublin supporter and the fair weather supporters of the sides they meet are voting with their fee...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2018

Have no desire to get involved in a post mortem yet.

Thanks to the players for giving me more good memories. Our journey is not yet complete & hope to be there some day to see ye take the steps up the Hogan.

Also thanks to the posters on here for the banter & insights. Yer a sound bunch.

Re: Cork Hurlers 2018

Losing Harnedy would be a massive blow to our chances. The man has been on fire this summer. Having already lost young Cads in a summer that would have suited him down to the ground I am beginning to wonder if the hurling Gods are mocking us. Conor Lehane, this is your moment, your county needs you.

Re: The Re-Development of Pairc Ui Chaoimh

The uproar on the Liam Miller game is very understandable. However if the story emerging about state funding are true then it presents more questions that need to be answered. I think everyone knew PUC was to be available for a successfull Rugby World Cup 23 bid but the reports now suggest a more li...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2018

After the Leinster Final replay the wise men on RTE and in the papers were itching for a quadrilogy as the teams were so far ahead of the rest. Now Limerick will be too strong for Cork. Will we bother turning up?? We keep hearing that this is a different Limerick side and hype won't get to them. Wel...

Re: Colm O Neill retires

I've always been a big fan of Colm O'Neill, a player that had the worst luck with injuries and they have taken their toll. He has done his county some service. I am glad that at least he did get his All-Ireland medal. I often wonder how we would have done some of the years if he wasn't so unfortunat...

That's true too, but I did think we looked fitter than Clare in the Munster final.

Re: Other GAA

would agree with Ranty on the jersey issue. I was at Croke Park for both Dublin v Longford and Laois and the jersey thing was a joke. The GAA merchandisers are happy enough to sell us alternate jerseys was the view of most around me on those days.
