Re: Cork Footballers 2019

More green shoots. Today you could see that our conditioning is that bit off the elite teams, we faded in the last 10 minutes and that is something that can be rectified and will be hopefully with the top table that is now in place and starting to drag us into position. We also lack the cuteness (cy...

Re: Cork u20 football 2019

No sweeter sight than the fucking puss on Jack O'Connor all through that match. I cannot wait to hear who they blame, what they blame and any other pissing and moaning they come out with. The interview given by Blake Murphy at the end of the match should be required viewing for any young person who ...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

Hurling Quarter final moving to Croke Park this year. 2pm throw-in for us....... unless Westmeath cause the biggest shock in hurling history. https://www.rte.ie/sport/gaa/2019/0702/1059763-gaa-announce-hurling-and-football-quarter-final-details/ Bloody hell, what in God's name was wrong with having...

Re: Cork Footballers 2019

As a starting block going forward that will do, especially considering we were 7 points down at one stage. Delighted the team showed the necessary level of heart and determination as befits a proud county. Now I sincerely hope they keep it going and approach the qualifier in the same way...…..its v...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

I think the best use of T.O'Mahoney right now is in attack. I don't think he has the discipline or marking skills to play anywhere in the HB line. That may come with experience and he has a lot of hurling ability, but right now play him where he is most comfortable and most impactful. A ball winnin...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

What a difference a week makes. I was critical last week of John Meyler but am happy today to eat humble pie. He and his team got the calls right. He made decisive changes at the right times. He picked the players he needed to and who delivered for him as well. Aidan Walsh was my own MOTM. His displ...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2019

I posted earlier this year on Meyler's decision not to give the UCC players game time during the league. Our biggest issue last year was our inability to stop teams putting up big scores on us. That was the biggest work on needed over the Winter/Spring. We needed to sort out our full back line and o...
