Re: Cork Hurlers 2016

TTM was very well-informed on all aspects of cork gaa. He was a pain in the ass at times but for those of us living outside the county now he was great for information on both the club and county scene. He just rubbed people up the wrong way. The boards website has gone awful quiet since he stopped ...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2016

Did anybody else hear rumors of Frank Flannery taking over the Wexford hurlers? Dunne is going to get the chop and Flannery is considered best in line to take over. Dunno is this the right thread to post it but if true it will effect our senior hurlers.

http://www.irishexaminer.com/sport/columnists/donal-ogrady/cork-lost-because-of-fundamental-failures-401238.html Good article by O'Grady. Sums it up well. Surly between all of them on the sideline and the number of weeks they had to prepare they would of recognized the failures in the system they de...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2016

They were clear through on goal in 2nd half only Kelly pulled it back for a soft free on Ellis because he felt sorry on us. Everyone seems to acknowledge that Tipp were in 2nd gear, so if they upped the ante to attack our goals, sweeper or no, they would have scored one at least. There are no positi...

Cork are being laughed at or pitied all over the internet. Grin and bear it and savour the day of revenge.[/quote]

We've been grinning and bearing for the last ten years. At this stage we savor relief more than revenge.

Re: Cork Hurlers 2016

I might add that Tipp were actually pretty poor. Cant agree with Tipp being poor. They were comfortable throughout and cruised home. Imagine the damage they would have done if it was a dry day. They had four lads making their debut and were under as much pressure as Cork were for the win. I m sure ...

Re: Cork Hurlers 2016

Seanie McGrath was as clueless on the Sunday Game as the management was on the line. He was more in awe of Tipp than and couldn't explain what happened with cork.
