Who has the authority to sanction this sale

Under the official guide, the authority to sell property owned by the county is granted to the central council or, subject to the overall authority of the central Council, the county committee. The property is vested in trustees who hold on trust for the association.

Interesting to see Ger Lane saying that the sale was in the business plan submitted to government and the EU. Would I be right in saying that the county committee found out this morning on the newspaper?

€10 million cash reserves and the land in kilbarry. Is this irelands most expensive ever astro pitch?

Without question, Ger Lane is the most disappointing Chairman this county has ever had. People did feel (including myself) that this was the guy that would change things and shake up the CB....He has been the greatest puppet of them all...A terrible disappointment...Surely "The Queen" cant be any worse!!!

Ger sure had plenty to say yesterday didnt he?
Couple of observations and questions

This Kilbarry land - how long did they have this? "He revealed the board has succeeded in having 21 acres of a 37-acre landbank at Kilbarry, adjacent to Delanys GAA club on the north side of Cork city, rezoned in recent months from light industrial to development". How does this kinda thing happen? Is this a coup by the board?

The directors of the stadium - nice mixture of youth and experience there.

Who said again that the stadium would be debt free? Why did they say it when they knew it wouldnt? "We have no financial worries". Is he for real?
Who thinks 700 out of 2000 premium ticket sales is "selling well".

Finally for now, i am sick and tired of hearing the following - "Páirc Uí Chaoimh as a project has been an outstanding success and is now regarded as one of the best stadiums in Europe"
Where is he getting this info from? Can anyone throw up a link as to the accuracy of this? I cant find anything anywhere

"The shortfall was a slight hiccup, but it is crystal clear the board have their work done in identifying how they are going to generate the necessary finance and I have no doubt they will,” said Cloyne native and former Cork chairman O’Sullivan".

A slight hiccup..Jaysus thier arrogance never ceases to amaze me.

Starting at 40 mil and working its way to 86.5 mil is a slight hiccup!!!!

Read that line earlier and thought the exact same thing. Its unbelievable the shit they come out with.Upwards of 100% debt on the original figure and its a "hiccup". If Gerry is so unpreturbed, then the Munster Council can clear the debt so

Kevin O Donovan (Kilmeen/Kilbree) wins vice-chair, Fermoy's Diarmuid Gowen will be the new treasurer, while Pat Horgan (Midleton) is the new Development officer.

Delighted about o Donovan, disappointed for Hanley and o Flynn. The more isolated he is the less he can be expected to achieve

Todays the day. I reckon the Stadium will get 78 rounds of applause. The stadium directors may even get a standing ovation. And Pearce as well, a well deserved 2 minute round of applause.
