Right where were we....

Oh ya, nominations. I thought there'd be more tbh. Heard one or two pulled out along the way. 2 no contests is boring. At least we get a fight at PRO. Ive a feeling the 3 ran last year as well.

Year after year the clubs are given the chance to make nominations and fail us year after year. We deserve Fronk :-)

By the way, does Tracy get the chair now ?
If so should there not be a election/nominations for vice chair or is it a crony appointment ?

Will the new championship structures be voted on at convention or are they a given already?

The press release said ....The Executive of Coiste Chontae Chorcaí wish to propose the following changes to the County Championship from 2016 to 2019 with a review after the 2017 season.

So it could be a given or be voted on, who knows.

Restructuring of the championships passed last night, strong opposition to the notion of allowing big clubs second teams play in the intermediate grade. Automatic relegation to be done away with too. That's a load of nonsense IMO, you could conceivably have no one ever relegated.

I can't understand the relegation thing. Is this really what the stakeholders in Cork GAA came up with? Its this really what we need in Cork to improve our championships whichIin hurling at Senior anyway, are behind the other Munster counties?

I'm the same tipp-ex. There's talk of teams relegated this year getting a reprieve. That would mean 17 teams in championship. How will that work? Unless there's going to be teams parachuted in intermediate and prem intermediate from the bigger clubs. It's all a heap.
I applaud them though on guaranteeing teams 3 games. Clubs that won their first round were at a disadvantage when it came to playing teams in R4 that had extra games under their belt.
