Who'll get out of Carbery this year in both codes WCR? Clonakilty seem to be getting stronger in football so I assume that'll hinder their hurling prospects. Kilmacabea in the football?

I fancy a Muskerry winner this year, Erin's Own caught Kilmurry last year and Knocknagree beat Uibh Laoire. I fancy both those to progress this year again provided they avoid each other of course.
Hurling is harder to call, whoever comes out of Imokilly will be strong, Nemo too.

Duhallow Junior A kicked off at the weekend.

Round 1
Cullen 0-11 Castlemagner 1-04
Dromtarriffe 1-09 Lyre 0-11
Boherbue 3-11 Knocknagree 0-09
Kanturk (bye)

That's Kanturk & Knocknagree's second teams obviously.

Barryroe 1-6 0-16 Kilmeen
Ilen Rovers 0-10 3-12 Diarmuid Ó Mathuna
Castlehaven0-9 1-7 O Donovan Rossa
Kilmacabea 1-13 0-5 Kilbrittain
St Colums 2-8 0-15 Argideen Rangers
Ballinascarthy 0-12 0-7 Clann na nGael

Douglas 0-10 0-7 Whitescross
Na Piarsaigh 0-9 0-13 Nemo Rangers

Argideen beating Colums a bit of a shock as was Tadhg Mac Carthaigh losing to Ross's 2nd team.

Big wins for Kilmurry and Canovee at the weekend as well as Uibh Laoire the previous week. Looks like it’s going to be between these 3 again this year. Fancy one of them for the county.

I was at the double header in Coachford on Saturday. Canovee the more impressive of the two, should have had two more goals. One penalty was thrown up after a bit of pushing and shoving by a Canovee player and also a Canovee player cleared a goal bound shot of one of his own players off the line.

Canovee very impressive although the challenge from Ballingeary was poor. Canovee certainly capable of beating Kilmurry or Iveleary. Wasn’t at the Aghinagh game but heard they could be dark horses.

Defeat for Nemo is the city division quarter final against Delaneys 1-16 to 17...nemo were very strong with Kerrigan, Dalton, Gumley, Greaney (all who played in the all-ireland series last year featuring) along with former cork 21 David Nation playing a part. Massive win for Delaneys considering that. They now face Douglas in the semi.

B’collig looking really good this year. Flying in the league and had a huge win against a good Aghinagh. They will take beating even if they lose a couple of players.

Kilmurry and Canovee this wend will be a massive game. Canovee are playing really well this year and I have a feeling they could win this one.

2 other games scheduled in mid Cork, fancy Donoughmore to beat Clondrohid. Kilmicheal and Inniscarra also due to play if Cork lose. Hard to call but can’t see any of these 4 teams progressing too far anyway.
