St Michael's face Delaney's in the Seandun final after Michael's defeated Barrs 4-6 to 2-9 in the second semi final.

Ha! I wasn't there. To be fair, the two teams played out a 2-14 each draw on Saturday, with four second half goals. There were probably tired legs on show with the replay so soon afterwards due to Dromtarriffe having a hurling semi final this weekend.

I think there's lads from Boherbue that hurl with Dromtarriffe. That will make for an interesting dressing room this week. Could hold up the county too.

Carbery GAA in Cork have taken a strong stance against violence on the pitch, hitting two clubs who were involved in a post-match brawl with hefty fines.

There were ugly scenes in Drimoleague earlier in September after the final whistle in the west Cork division’s Junior A Football Championship final, where Kilmacabea beat Tadhg Mac Cartaigh.

Players from both sides got involved, as did some mentors and supporters and Carbery GAA were quick to act.

Both clubs have each been hit with €3,000 fines and several players have been given substantial suspensions.

However, Kilmacabea and Tadhg Mac Cartaigh haven’t accepted the proposed punishment and their cases will be heard shortly by Cork County Board’s Hearings Committee.

That is likely to happen soon, as both clubs are in due in action in all-county junior championship this weekend.

Carbery GAA have taken a strong stance during a week where Tyrone GAA was rocked by incidents in two games.

A mass brawl broke out during an intermediate game between Strabane and Stewartstown, and then former Tyrone captain Sean Cavanagh was left with facial injuries and concussion during his club the Moy’s match with Edendork, which featured 20 yellow cards, six reds and one black

Was at Canovee v Boherbue on Friday night. Boherbue were much the better team and were dominant throughout. Canovee broke away a couple of times in the first half and had two great goal scoring chances but didn't take them. If they were to get anything from the game they needed to be taking them. In fairness to Murphy in the Boherbue goal he saved both chances well.
The Boherbue goal was a well taken effort, the half forward won a ball out by 21 and sideline, beat two men and buried the shot past the goalkeeper. Boherbue to me look like a strong balanced team and will go far. Canovee looked impressive against Kilmurry in the Mid Cork but regressed I feel against Uibh Laoire and further regressed against Boherbue. 8 of that Canovee team out again on wednesday night for Cloughduv hurlers and there's a few from Boherbue hurling with Dromtarriffe. A busy few weeks for these players.

County Quarter Finals

(A) Midleton v Iveleary
(B) Valley Rovers/St Michaels v Dromtarriffe
(C) Ballymartle v Delanys
(D) Boherbue v Kilmacabea

Boherbue v Kilmacabea could be a final pairing. Tie of the round there.
