If he decides to give us another year, he starts simple as. Anyone that was at the county semi will know he's the best midfielder we have. As JBM said to me during the year Bill is captain of that team in all but name.

Didn't see them saying that unless it went up since my last visit. Casting doubts about him, allright, although God only knows why. He's exactly the sort of player who would be first on Brian Cody's list. I wish we could clone him.

Who do ye think will get the captaincy next year? Harnedy, Cooper or Spillane? Is it unusual for Cork to retain the same captain? Shamie had a good year and showed it was a burden. Cooper has been there for years and probably deserves a crack. Spillane could bring a fresh voice to proceedings. Interesting times

Colm Barry must be worth a look at for fullback in 2019

I've no doubt he has been penciled in for games in the Munster league, he had a solid season. Even if players aren't used in the next championship, I'm all for bringing youngsters in to show them what's required of them by training with the likes of Kearney Harnedy Ellis ect. Man management is very important especially to new fringe lads.

Have read in a few places that Aidan Walsh will be back on the Cork panel for next year. Surely that ship has sailed? I'd rather a few of the u21 panel drafted in, the likes of Dalton, Conor Cahalane, Turnbull be given a go.

Yeah, you would have to think that ship has well and truly sailed at this stage. Can't see how this could work out well for either Cork or the player.

It's a bit of a shame really for such a talented player when he was younger, but the flip-flopping between hurling & football and a fair few injuries certainly didn't enable him get the most out of his career.

Didn't expect Harnedy and Horgan to both get one, Horgan was more deserving of the two if only one was to get one. Felt Aaron Gillane would get one. The red card probably worked against him. Only one forward from Limerick.

Harnedy was our main man last year up front pity he was injured in the semi final.

After 2010, I never took the All-Stars seriously again.
