It was interesting to see the minors in action even if it was only a challenge game. Apparently they have already played Kilkenny, although I have no news or result for that. Today they won by 2-20 to 0-15 (I think).

I only saw about half of the first half, but they appeared to be cruising. What was impressive was the way they tackled. No Wexford player got time on the ball and Cork dominated possession. Wexford upped the tempo in the second half and for about 15 minutes seemed slightly the better side. But then Cork asserted themselves again with two good goals which finally seemed to break Wexford’s spirit.

A pity there were no team names for the minors in the program, but it is still, apparently a large panel which will be cut down before the championbship.

Very interesting info there Turenne, especially the schools. With the unfortunate axing of the old u15 intercounty tournament in Carrigdhoun that I used to go to, I'm not familiar with this group.

Interesting that rugby schools Pres and Christians provide 7 players. Think Pres lost the Munster u16.5 B final before Christmas

Some fantastic close games in P1 hurling tonight it seems. Great opportunity for players who might be in contention for Cork minors to put their hands up for selection. Great for Mgt to be able to see lads in c’ship action.

Players must be loving the structure to competitions this year. Competitive games every week
