Charleville and Fr O Neills both put up massive scores today. Maybe they will qualify for the semis. Newcestowns win brings them through to the QF

Kilworth 0-14, Bride Rovers 0-16
Kanturk 5-20, Killeagh 1-16
Fr O Neills 6-20, Ballymartle 2-11
Newcestown 2-24, Cloyne 3-9
Charleville 3-21, Fermoy 0-15
Bandon 1-22, Mallow 1-22

This is turning out to be a great championship with as youngbob correctly said, the stand out teams being Charleville, Fr O'Neills and I'm gonna add Kanturk. All u beaten?
Interesting all 3 of them have won the Premier Intermediate the last 3 years, kicking on the year after. Hard to tell who is the best of them but I'm gonna guess O Neills

I know they aren't favourites but UCC won't get another year like this when none of the students are away on J1 visas. There has been some cracking matches with this new format, hopefully it's here to stay and within 2 or 3 years it should be even better when all the teams will be playing at their correct level,. Next year when hopefully the crowds can go to the matches, in such close encounters it will only be mighty
Fr, O Neills are putting up massive scores, Charleville and Kenturk wouldn't look out of place in the premiere level either. No micky mouse games either as relegation is always looming for the also rans.
By the time the finals come around the teams with be well tuned in.
The only concern would be the players in both codes playing week after week. Fatigue or injuries will be a major issue especially with the Waterford championship over tomorrow, they will be able to get a 4 or 5 weeks county panel sessions in before we can have our first get together

It really has been the best championship in memory. Part of that has been due to Covid and the availability of county players but mostly its down to the new structures.
Every game is competitive and evenly balanced. Those that are regulated and promoted are justified and will enhance their new divisions next year.
Hopefully it will have a knock on effect at county level.

Is quite clear to me that our new CEO brought this format in exactly to help the standard across the board and have a knock on effect on the county teams. So far so good, its been a great championship

Clubs are reminded of the schedule for the final stages of the Co-Op Superstores and Bon Secours Hurling and Football championships, as circulated previously.

•Sept 11th-13th H & F Quarter-finals & Relegation play-offs
•Sept 18th-20th Quarter-finals, Semi-finals & Relegation play-offs
•Sept 25th-27th Semi-finals II
•Oct 2nd-4th Finals
•Oct 9th-11th Football Finals (alternative)

On the weekend of September 11th-13th, all quarter-finals and relegation play-offs in the hurling championship will take place, as well as all quarter-finals and relegation play-offs in the football championship which do not involve dual clubs. The football quarter-finals will be confirmed after next weekend’s results.

On the weekend of September 18th-20th, the hurling semi-finals are provisionally fixed, subject to dual involvement, while the remaining football quarter-finals are likely to be played. The CCC reserves the right to play either code on this weekend in order to facilitate dual involvement.

Football fixtures to follow once quarter-final pairings are known.

Hurling fixtures, as ratified by the CCC, are listed below. All games are ‘finish on the day’.
