Relegation playoff between the worst placed team in Munster and Kerry, should they win the tier two championship. Realistically there is almost no chance Kerry will end up playing Munster hurling, and if they do they'll be there on merit.

Its an improvement on the current format but the issue, as always, is with the club game.

I notice the Kerry Co Board, no doubt backed by sponsors etc, have offered David Clifford a nice little package to stick around, one which he has accepted.

Yes I was being tongue in cheek Ranty, I doubt very much that a "chat" with Fitzmaurice to "fight for his place" was all it took. That's the official line trotted out but it doesn't take a genius to figure out that's not the end of it
