This thread is symbolic of the lack of energy and interest in cork gaa at the moment for me. I wonder how can we promote this forum more to achieve what we had with rebel gaa?

Anyway the updated version:

Carrigaline - vs - Clonakilty
Douglas - vs - Glanworth
Ballydesmond - vs - St Finbarrs
Aghabullogue - vs - Youghal
Kanturk - vs - Mitchelstown
Adrigole - vs - Rockchapel

Cill Na Martra 3-13 vs 1-11 Gabriel Rangers
Glenville 2-12 vs 2-8 Kinsale
Mayfield 1-10 vs 1-15 Millstreet
Glanmire 1-13 vs 3-13 Kildorrery

I'm not as familiar with the teams this year but I'll be taking a few punts on the coming rounds so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Carrigaline - vs - Clonakilty - Clon to win as they're going for better in senior this year.
Douglas - vs - Glanworth - Glanworth are having a solid league campaign but don't know much about who Douglas have available.
Ballydesmond - vs - St Finbarrs - St Finbarrs - They surprised everyone last year and I'm backing them to do the same this year.
Aghabullogue - vs - Youghal - Aghabullougue are flying in Division 3 and for me, they're front runners for the county. Youghal will look to round 2.
Kanturk - vs - Mitchelstown - Kanturk. Toughest tie of the round. I've heard good things about Kanturk of late but I expect a big fight by Mitchelstown.
Adrigole - vs - Rockchapel - Rockchapel - Absolute banker

Alot of teams in this grade seem to be 'treading water'. Cill na Matra have put down a marker in round one. I expect Aghabullogue to do the same this weekend. For me Rockchapel Kanturk and Kildorrery (possibly Mitchelstown) complete the list of contenders. What do ye think of those selections??

I would agree with you I think Cill na Matra , Kanturk, Aghabullogue and not to sure of the fourth would give this a rattle. I think Aghabullogue and Cill na Matra have new managements in place this year including new coaches. There seems to be a marked improvement the coachford lads this year.....do we know the name of their new coach?
The lad from Cill na Matra was involved last year?
Would be interested to see the list of managements and coaches something like the examiner did last year

Noel Twomey was in charge of Cill na Martra last year but not involved this year.
They'll be there or thereabouts this year, took their eye off the ball v Bandon in the semi final after beating them in the first round.

Just looking at the draws there....why are all these championships so far behind schedule? It seems like half a year ago they started with games all over the shop, others with big gaps and now theres games even before Round 4 to be played yet and its nearly September. Looks a mess to me

Intermediate grade is always the last to be played given that there's no Munster championship in it.

A lot of draws this year! Ballydesmond are the Mayo of Cork IFC this year but do they have the quality to make the final?

02/09/2017
Cill Na Martra 2-10 vs 2-5 Gabriel Rangers Quarter-Final
Kildorrery 0-13 vs 0-9 St Finbarrs Quarter-Final

23/09/2017
17:00 Glanworth - vs - Kanturk Quarter-Final
16/09/2017
17:00 Aghabullogue - vs - Rockchapel Round 4 Replay
15:30 Ballydesmond - vs - Mitchelstown Round 4 Replay

Cill Na Martra look like favourites to me. In the relegation it's:

13/09/2017
19:45 Kinsale - vs - Youghal Relegation Playoff
30/09/2017
14:00 Adrigole - vs - Douglas Relegation Playoff

Douglas's second team probably not up to much. The other tie between Kinsale and Youghal is harder to call...

Kanturk against Mitchelstown in the final.
Kanturk going for a season for the ages after winning the Premier Intermediate Hurling final yesterday.
