I assume young Ogbebor has the distinction of being the first African born player to play senior club hurling?

Couple of shocks tonight in PuR.

Bandon 2-22, Ballygarvan 1-15
Na Piarsaigh 1-12, Glen Rovers 0-14.
That'll shake up the championship a bit. Piarsaigh got winner in 66th minute

Bandon beat Ballymartle and beat them well. Fine side Bandon have. Their #15 is a fantastic forward.

Piarsaig deserved their win. Ref made strange calls on both sides. Great win for that club with such a young team out and missing a few starters.

Not sure anybody deserved to win that Glen v Na Piarsaigh game. It was a stop-start, niggling, foul-ridden game. It was a difficult game to ref but he made bizarre decisions and I could see why Glen might feel particularly aggrieved. That said, there was no question over the winning free or no question over the added time played.. If he had gone to 76 minutes, there would have been no complaints. The Glen had a great chance to win the game with Mark Dooley seconds before the winner but Piarsaigh keeper made a great save.

Some excitement but overall a game best forgotten.

Bandon were very impressive. Hope they beat Na Piarsaigh. The #15 was very good as was Cahalane, Sugrue and #10 and #2 and another bunch of them. Fine side.
