Edit: It's on the 22 October (same day as the SHC county final); http://www.the42.ie/cork-shc-quarter-finals-3589376-Sep2017/

Aogán O Fearghaill wasnt available on the origonal date (must be very important whatever he's doing) so the championship gets pushed back 2 weeks into worse weather

Yeah I know it's ridiculous.

Well, there's a serious additional workforce down there with weeks and somebody will have to pay for them, most likely us, so somebody will be arguing that there was a foul-up, ya.

And we come back to the controversial electrical contract again and to the strange decision not to include it in the main contractor's package thus managing the risk in the traditional and prudent way.

I took a look around there yesterday morning. Still no floodlights on the south stand side. There were cherry-pickers on the north stand side doing something.

Why wasn't it included in the main package? Seems odd to me.

There is a story on the Peoples Republic of Cork forum that there was a corporate event down there at the weekend and a TV fell off the wall during it. Then the electricity went out so everyone had to be bussed to another venue. Could be half-true or not true at all.
