Yes, well done Knocknagree, but shame on whoever organised a double header in the depths of winter. Having arrived on Mallow town from the west at 2.30pm and taking the right turn near the clock house, I eventually got to see the 2nd half of a game starting at 3.15pm.
I have never seen such shambolic traffic/parking arrangements since my last visit to outer Mongolia. Pedestrians, cars, vans, jeeps all mixed up and meeting head on in a narrow road spells mayhem in any language. There was a lone and lonesome Garda in the middle of
the road about a mile from the entrance gates and the poor man was lost for words trying to explain the situation to exasperated match goers. I eventually found a spot miles out the Dublin road where I could park and listen to the radio commentary.
Got in there for the 2nd half and extra time when them Waterford and Tipperary bostoons had departed the scene.

Great display by Knocknagree and not having a programme I can't name them all but Anthony O Connor ( A snipers goal a la Messi) and John Fintan's two lads were very very good. They are a top class junior team and John Fintan has them well coached. Pace and power all over the place and smart footballers too. They will take all the beating.

Mallow..............never again ......unless I can get there about 2 hours before throw in.

in the Munster junior hurling final yesterday also in Mallow, we had a Cork 'referee' issuing red cards like confetti, where do we get them from !

We must be looking at total domination in football at all levels over the coming years!! It has to start somewhere I suppose...

Seriously, well done to Knocknagree, that's a great result. I know little or nothing about this team but if young Anthony O'Connor is from the Niall bloodline it bodes well, Niall was some classy footballer back in the day.

Well done to Killavullen who won the Munster Junior B Hurling Final beating Thurles Sars 0-10 to 0-5 in stormy conditions in Killeedy, West Limerick today.

Also well done to Knocknagree beating Naomh Colmcille from Donegal in the All Ireland Junior A Football Semi Final 2-9 to 0-7.
