First round of the county below
Cloughduv v St Ita's
Ballygiblin v Brian Dillons
Duhallow winners v Carbery runners up
Carrigdhoun winners v Shanballymore
Nemo Rangers v Duhallow runners up
Carbery winners v Ballinora
Russell Rovers v Carrigdhoun runners up

Went to the east Cork final yesterday, Russell Rovers v Itas. Russell Rovers won by 7 points 2-16 1-12, were 7 points up at half time but were on the ropes midway through the second half. Itas were two points down when the ball broke to Harnedy who took the paint off the wrong side of the crossbar. Had it gone in it could have been a different story. Harnedy was visibly a different class, Rovers had three on him at one stage and still struggled to contain him.
Itas came out of the blocks despite being a man down, Rovers began to panic. Itas got it back to a point but couldn't equalise. A goal from the Rovers sub with his first touch sealed the win .

Cloughduv bate St Itas by 7 points tonight. Surely have to be among the favourites now for the county

Cloughduv made a great start, were up 1-8 0-2 after 11 minutes but let Ita's back into it. Ita's got back to within 3 points and had Cloughduv on the racks a bit but Cloughduv got a goal on the break to push it out to 6 again.
Nemo out tomorrow night, it'll be interesting to see how they get on after their hammering in the football.
Draws are being made tomorrow I believe.

Kilbree v Russell Rovers tomorrow evening in the second semi final. Hard to call this one. It's been over a month since Russell Rovers beat Courceys in the first round while Kilbree have had 3 championship games in that time.
Russell Rovers have the big star names in Beausang and Hartnett, a lethal forward line but Kilbree are more balanced across the field. I think Kilbree will scrape it.

Cloughduv the champions at the fourth time of asking. Got a goal after 30 seconds from Joe Ryan and a point from Brian Verling but Russell Rovers scored 8 points before Cloughduv scored again. Coming up to half time it was 1-1 0-8 , Cloughduv guilty of a few bad wides but saw out the end of the half scoring 1-6 0-1 to go in 4 points up. Cloughduv maintained that gap for the rest of the game. Cloughduv's backs did a great job on Hartnett and Josh Beausang, limiting them to 0-1 from play between them. For Cloughduv Brian Verling was brilliant up front. I think he finished up with 0-10, including frees.

Ballinameela were intermediate last year i think. Junior in Waterford is pretty strong. Ardmore won it out last year.
