Operation on what?

Is he carrying an ankle injury. Hope he makes a speedy recovery. That lad had been through the mill injury wise.

No I believe it is his achilles very worrying hope hes back soon strong... a great player who has been outstanding after some very serious injurys including the cruciate ...great bit of stuff we need him.

Yeah Colm Spillane is a terrific player. Conor Lehane didn't need an op over the winter at all, he had a soft tissue problem. I'm hearing good news on Mark Ellis recovery, he won't be available for the Clare match but he could be back fairly soon. I was also told the Fitz players will be considered for Saturday night as their final isn't on till the following weekend

Colm Spillane doesn't have much luck with injuries...on that timeline and depending how the recovery goes he may well be dodgy for the Munster championship. Has come on a lot in last 2 years, our fullback line will be much weaker without him...and its by no means watertight at best.

Team named tonight? Cork have a growing injury list. Fitzgibbon final could rule out some players also, but a win v Clare is a must IMO. Cork has had the upper hand v the banner since 2013 final and lets continue it this weekend. A win at home after the Harty final would make for a great day.

Just looked at the Cork gaa website, no information about when the team will be announced. Are they too busy looking at tenders for the turf repairs to mention about the match tomorrow night or have they forgotten their "grassroots"
