Well CF if they manage to continue in that august threesome, they can thank those sports journos in 'da paper' for not putting
pressure on them. Today's contribution to our football enlightenment contains zero mention of a team that is about to make
history.
Fogarty starts with a long boring piece about Tyrone supported by a picture of Mickey Harte sitting with that little wasp Davie promoting
a golf event next bloody August. The fact that this event is sponsored by a multinational group probably influenced the exposure.
Next page Fogarty gives us another test of character by continuing his adoration of the wasp.
Same page John Keogh has a truly heart breaking piece about the cancellation of a freshers hurling match in Limerick. Supported by
two pictures of the crestfallen teams and mentors. OMG.
Mike Finnerty has another hugely important article for Cork readers by telling us that Mayo fans will have difficulty getting tickets
for the 1st round of the Connaught Championship in New York in May. OMG x 2
Fogarty gives us half a page about the Wexford camogie play off . I kid you not. OMG x 100
Eoghan Cormican huge article about the club football final supported by a huge picture of a recent club game. This game is next
Sunday and I suppose does have some interest but it's a day after our match, isn't it?
Then we have Declan Rooney crawling all over Shefflin and Ballyhale with half a page of you know what.

All of the above and not one single word about Cork senior footballers whose very fickle standing in the GAA world is tethering
on a knife edge and play Donegal in Cork two days from now.
Of course our very own GAA web site don't even bother to tell us when the team will be announced so perhaps we shouldn't be
too hard of Leen, Fogarty & Co. At the end of the day we do get what we deserve.

:( Hard to disagree with that quite brilliant post !

I've noticed that the posting up of teams ( hurling as well as football) has changed under the new PRO, who I would suppose is responsible for letting us know what's going on. No days or times are given. They just appear magically - football usually on Thursday night and Hurling on Friday night. 9.30 has been the time up to now.

He's as good, if not better than at least two of the city slickers that seem to be fixtures on the team, no matter how many outrageous
mistakes they make, or killer passes that Messi wouldn't attempt.
Of course he shouldn't be a sub or anywhere near the team, but it just shows once again how utterly inept this management group are.
It truly is a depressing time for Cork football.

Looks like Micheal Martin has displaced Mark White as keeper as well, wonder did his error in the Sigerson final make them decide to change

I look at that bunch of players and you say to yourself they are a lot of good players all over that panel , they surely are better than Division 3 top half of Division 2 more like ...but but the Leauge is a competition that does not lie ..this match tomorrow is the biggest game in a long time for Cork football.

Looks like Mark made a smart move taking a second yellow near the end?
That bus trip to Armagh with McCarthy in the front seat is best avoided.
Unless of course he does the decent thing.?
