I need someone to hold my hand on those those things. Eoghan Cormican does the job in the Examiner:

Thanks for that, Dorcha.

There's a lot here to consider, and some excellent work done to come up with three formats that are innovative, that guarantee more games and that restore promotion and relegation.

There's a lot to digest in all of that,.... but to be fair, credit is due to those involved at looking at alternative structures and options in a genuine attempt to improve club fixture efficiency, more games in more favourable seasons, more certainty for clubs and club players.

In a time with so much negativity surrounding pretty much all things Cork GAA, its good to see work being done in the background which could ultimately benefit both clubs and intercounty teams in both codes at all levels. This deserves to be acknowledged at the very least.

Lots of good stuff here, any change from the existing disasterous formats is to be welcomed. The only problem I have is that 1 week is not enough time to convene an EGM if need for example and ive read that clubs wanted 16 team championships but that the board seemed intent on 12 no matter what

An FAQ Section has been printed by the Executive.

This is phenomenal in its detail, forethought, clarity and transparency.

I could get used to this...

From looking at it the teams that have won promotion in the last 2 years through winning championships are at a massive disadvantage when it will come to gradings for 2020. In the FAQ there is a table of teams and gradings points that the have accumulated. The likes of Charleville, who didn't get much of if any break and preseason start off on 0 points and will need a massive 2019 to just maintain their senior status for 2020.

Had our club meeting in the last few days, we went for option C , A, B in that order. I was a bit surprised considering that clubs would have to play without their county players it would be a non runner. But it seems that the idea itself was nominated by Sars and that there's a fair number of clubs supporting it.
The summer of meaningful championship games is a massive pull.
