Bit of hassle with the ref McAllister and Newtown supporters at the end of that game, Pa Cronin converted a late penalty for the Town to get the win

Killeagh 1-12 vs 0-18 Na Piarsaigh. Poor enough game here, Piarsaigh always ahead.

Newcestown 0-17 vs 1-17 Bandon

Glen Rovers 1-17 vs 0-16 Midleton. Decent game on TG4, Midleton did most of the hurling until a great save from the Glen keeper midway through the second half swung it in the Glens favour I thought, that would have put Midlleton 6 points up, they scored a point from the clearance and went on to take the lead after and finished stronger, they clearly had a plan to get Hoggie into the game and it worked, he got MOM

Midleton sadly missed the influence and hard work of Luke O'Farrell, but for a team with a number of players missing - including late withdrawal, Paul Haughney - they probably did better than expected. The Glen had the lead by about the tenth minute, but once Midleton went ahead before half time, they were never led again until 6 minutes from time. They certainly didn’t help themselves by over-doing the passing and careless shooting, but looked on course to hold out for a win or a draw, until the Glen scored their goal. That made the game level, but Midleton seemed to lose their concentration and conceded four points in rapid succession.

They had a few goal chances themselves, but strong defending by the Glen kept their goal intact.

In the Na Piarsaigh/Killeagy, game, Na Piarsaigh were a good deal superior throughout the game and led from start to finish, even though Killeagh did raise their game in the second half and only lost by 3 points in the end. A bad day for East Cork.

Losers group last weekend - Kanturk, Newtown, Newcestown, Ballyhea, Midleton, Erins Owen, Carrig, Killeagh, Bride Rovers = 9
( notes - East Cork x 5 )
How will this work in August !
How many go forward to join last weekends' winners !
How many for relegation group !
