In a game which would be expected to have a good crowd, isn't that unusual? What is their reason for this? How is it even allowed?

If it's not April the 1st, it's something else.

Kilkenny dealt another injury blow with goalkeeper Eoin Murphy ruled out for the leinster campaign. I have a feeling Dublin could beat KK in their opening game.

Maybe. But you never know with Dublin. They could play like all-stars or they could fall to pieces. The doubt is still there. With Kilkenny you know you'll get 100 percent effort.

Clare 1-20, Waterford 0-22. Good finish, Clare held off a late Waterford comeback

We were listing to the Marthy Wheelan roadshow - or whatever it's called - while we were waiting to get out of Na Piarsaigh's grounds. Marty was talking to Eoin Cadogan.

"You were like a 16-year old down there, Eoin," said Marty.

Eoin laughed. "Maybe - as we came off, everyone was calling me Alan."

Not all that startling, I suppose. The question is: can Mayo raise it again for the All-Ireland series? There must be a bit of weariness for some of their senior players at the lack of an All-Ireland at this stage.
