The hurlers have already trained in Pair Ui Chaoimh, and its surface is guaranteed for five years. It's also expected to generate a profit after 2020.

He (and that chancer Bob) said this 3 years ago -

"CORK GAA CHIEFS have indicated that selling of naming rights for the redeveloped Páirc Uí Chaoimh is likely to help make up the shortfall between funding and the final cost of the project.

Following a media tour of the stadium yesterday, former Cork County Board chairman Bob Ryan – who is the chairman of the stadium steering committee – revealed that the construction is on budget, estimated to cost just short of €80m

John Mullins, chairman of the stadium business committee, “We hope that the Páirc will begin its life debt-free, and there aren’t many stadiums that you can say that about.”

I was looking at the fixtures left this year and it looks like theres a langerload of U21 championship games to be played and wont be finished in time for Christmas. That's bad.
Most of them are being played down on the 4G pitch in the Páirc in our "Centre of Excellence".
Yes I know thy cost a fair amount but why wasn't there provision made for a few of these pitches around the city say instead of expecting our young players to play these overload of games in freezing cold conditions in the middle of winter/Christmas?
It just doesn't make sense imo. Thanks Frank
